PSC, founded in
2000 in Studio City, CA had the vision of offering quality
Pilates instruction and focused on fitness and low back care
of its clients. Since then, the studio has grown and moved,
has added many qualified Instructors and taken on the
rewarding task of developing a Pilates Teacher Training
Program. The quality of Pilates Certification was very
disheartening and we decided to do something about it.
The PSC Pilates
Teacher Training Program started in Palm Desert CA and has
grown to find a permanent home in Encino CA. PSC Directors
Andromeda Trumbull & Kelli Altounian passed the PMA Pilates
Certification Exam and have worked hard to develop Pilates
Workshops, Present at Conferences, produce a Pilates Jump
Board DVD, invented new Pilates equipment and are eager to
take the PSC Teacher Training to a an even larger National
and International level.
We are so proud
that the Reebok Sports Club/NY has adopted our Program to
teach new instructors at their facility. Rebecca Li will
begin to take steps to launch the PSC program in Beijing,
China in 2208 and the existing PSC affiliates are hard at
work making the Pilates industry a better one! With
Programs operating in Studio City, Encino & Palm Desert,
CA. Silverton, CO, NY and soon in KY, NJ and Washington
D.C. We are excited to grow a Program that has been proven
time and time again to produce quality, confident and
careful Instructors who are making a difference in peoples
lives.
PSC Graduates:
We have
graduates who are now all over the country and the world.
From Austria, to China to Florida, our graduates are
successfully working in Pilates Studios, Physical Therapy
Clinics, Chiropractic Offices and Gyms. Many have opened
their own Studios or are working for high-level facilities
like Sports Club/LA, Reebok, Meridian and here at PSC! All
who have attended PSC then took the PMA exam have passed!
PSC submitted
the PSC Program to the PMA for approval, obtained approval
and have remained Members in good standing. Since that time
the PMA no longer approves any Pilates Program:
The
PMA does not endorse, accredit, or otherwise approve Pilates
Teacher Training Companies. The PMA's means of granting
approval rests solely with the 'PMA - Pilates Certification
Exam', which is a status bestowed on an individual teacher,
not on a studio or teacher training company. Please see
