| PSC, founded in 2000 had the vision of offering quality Pilates education and focused on fitness and low back care. The quality of Pilates education and the graduates we interviewed was very disheartening and we decided to do something about it. Since then, the studio has grown, added many qualified Instructors and taken on the rewarding task of developing a Pilates Teacher Training Program, many DVD’s and workshops. |
| PMA Fostering Future Professionals |
| PSC Directors Andromeda Trumbull, D.C. & Kelli Altounian passed the PMA Pilates Certification Exam™ and have worked hard to develop Pilates education, present at conferences, produce DVD’s, invent new Pilates equipment and are eager to take the PSC Teacher Training to an even larger National and International level.
In 2005, PSC submitted its Program to the PMA for approval for “Education Organization Membership” and obtained that approval. PSC has remained Members in good standing ever since. Since that time the PMA no longer approves any Pilates Program: “The PMA does not endorse, accredit, or otherwise approve Pilates Teacher Training Companies. The PMA’s means of granting approval rests solely with the ‘PMA – Pilates Certification Exam’, which is a status bestowed on an individual teacher, not on a studio or teacher training company. Please see www.pmapilatescertified.com to find a PMA Certified Pilates Teacher (PMA-CPT).” PSC is now a participant of the Teacher Registry and the Fostering Future Professionals Program under the PMA and continues to participate in discussions with the PMA about the future of Teacher Training Programs in the industry that we love. |

| We have graduates who are now all over the country and the world. From Austria, to China to Florida, our graduates are successfully working in Pilates Studios, Physical Therapy Clinics, Chiropractic Offices and prestigious health clubs. Many have opened their own Studios or are working for high-level facilities like Sports Club/LA, Reebok, Meridian and here at PSC! As far as we know all of our grads who took the PMA Certification exam after graduating from our Program, have passed the exam. |
