Kelli Coleman Altounian
Co-Owner - Pilates Sports Center
Kelli is the co-founder of Pilates Sports Center and co-director of PSC Teacher Training in Los Angeles, California. Kelli holds a BA (dance emphasis) from the University of Central Oklahoma and performed professionally for over 15 years.  Kelli became a pilates advocate in 1994 while performing as a Radio City Rockette.  After sustaining a career ending back injury, Pilates was her choice for physical therapy.  In 2000, Kelli and Andromeda Trumbull united their efforts with the aim of updating the approach of Pilates-based movement utilizing therapeutic influence.  They have since created a teacher training program of International Recognition.  The PSC approach is the only program incorporating manipulation of the equipment to maximize the benefits for the client.  Their approach to "Common Problems and Pilates Protocols" continues to grow worldwide.

Dr. Andromeda Trumbull, D.C.

Andromeda became a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine inspired by her own spinal condition.  Her practice specialized in the proper rehabilitation of the lower back.  She was introduced to Pilates as a fitness regimen and was so impressed that she mastered its philosophy and became an instructor offering Pilates to her patients as a way of treating pain and resolving it more effectively. The profound results of her patients led her co-found Pilates Sports Center in Los Angeles, California along with Kelli Altounian.  Andromeda  also co-directs the PSC Teacher Training Program which aims to provide the highest standard of excellence in Pilates education.

Helena Hultberg Talman, Master Teacher Trainer / Staff Member, Pilates Sports Center, Encino, CA

A graduate from the Ballet Academy in Stockholm Sweden, she came to the United States to pursue her career as a professional dancer. Helena has performed in films, television, and numerous theatrical productions, and for 8-years was a member of The Radio City Rockettes.  Helena was introduced to Pilates by a dancer friend, and found the training immediately gratifying.  Never before had she felt such a connection from the inside out.  She was also taken by how easily the technique could be applied to every type of person, with every type of body type and fitness background. A natural bodywork and massage therapist, Helena soon decided to begin training to be a teacher of Pilates, and has since become a very proud Master Trainer of the Pilates Sports Center Teacher Training Program.

Lisa began teaching the Pilates Method in 1997.  She has studied with many different Master Teachers and holds an Advanced Rehabilitation Training Certificate through Pilates Sports Center.  She is dedicated to continuing higher education and professional development at every given opportunity.  Lisa has a passion for working with her clients and students, helping them to achieve a greater understanding of Pilates work through the mind, body and spirit.  Lisa is also a Licensed Massage Therapist and has studied with many different yoga masters.  Lisa owns and operates Infinity Pilates in Palm Desert, California where she teaches the Pilates Sports Center Teacher Training Program and Workshops as a Master Trainer.

Maryanne became a student of Pilates in 1997. She spent several years searching for the most comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training Program available and came upon the Pilates Sports Center program while recovering from a serious back injury.  She was so profoundly impressed with her experience that she knew she had found the right school.  Maryanne has been involved in the bodywork and fitness fields for over 16 years, with a focus on correcting structural and postural imbalances.  She is the owner of the Silverton Movement Center, where she is a Master Teacher Trainer for PSC.

Nichole Martinez-Barreto

Nichole first came to the practice of Pilates as a professional dancer and massage therapist in 1997.  The Pilates principles of posture and dynamic alignment presented an arena of vast healing potential and transformation that guided her educational path and experience.  In 2000 she became an apprentice for four years alongside Dr. Kevin Michael, D.C. founder of Orthokinetics Remodeling; a hands-on approach that utilizes the body's electrical and myofascial system in relation to structural stability and wellness.  This experience gave her a unique understanding of the body's integral system of healing within a clinical setting.  Nichole is dedicated to inspiring intelligent movement that integrates & awakens awareness to enhance the quality of life.

Lora Anderson

Lora began as a professional dancer in 1997 when she began practicing Pilates to strengthen herself during rigorous rehearsals and performance schedules.  As a Radio City Rockette for nine years, she never missed a show and remained injury free.  Attributing this to training in the Pilates method, Lora received her certification in Pilates and has made it her career.  Witnessing first hand how it changed her life and has helped countless others, Lora has dedicated herself to continually deepen her understanding of the human body, alignment and physical activity that connects the body, mind and soul.  Lora integrates dance and conditioning into her teaching as well.   Lora's mission is to help others enhance their health and vitality so they can stand tall and enjoy life to the fullest.

Ella Ben-Aharon,

Ella was born and raised in Israel, and served in the Israeli Air-Force (1996-1998).  Ella joined the acclaimed "Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (1998 - 99) in Israel and has taught ballet and modern dance since 1996.  She moved to California to further her studies in dance, production, and bodywork.  Ella Co-founded T E A Dance Company (2004-2006, NYC).  T E A’s critically acclaimed season premiered at the Flea Theater in June 2005, with performances at DTW, Joyce SoHo, Danspace Project, and St. Mark's Church.  In 2006 Ella established YelleB Dance Ensemble where she combines her visions of art and the human body (www.YelleB.org).  YelleB performed at Major University Settlement, Walpole (MH), The TANK, and the Alley City Group Theater.  Ella was an Artist-in-Residence at MAKOR, (2006) and a Guest Artist at the University of Florida, Gainesville (Feb/Mar 2007).  Ella focuses her Pilates teaching on injury rehabilitation, alignment, muscle imbalance, strengthening, and joint stabilization.

John Jay is currently the Fitness Manager and Pilates Manager for Reebok Sports Club NY.  John was a Master Trainer for IMX Pilates and was VP of education and franchise operations.  As a trainer/coach, he has worked with Olympic teams (windsurfing, track/field, skating) for 4 Olympiads.  He specializes in high-performance athletes and pre/post-operative re-conditioning.  John holds certifications in postural alignment (Reactive Neuromuscular Training, Reebok University)

Sara Sessions,

Sara began practicing Pilates as a treatment for chronic hip tendonitis in 1994. Impressed by the Method's potential to help dancers empower themselves for peak performance as athletes, she certified in 1999 and committed herself to bringing its benefits to her colleagues at San Francisco Ballet.  Her practice incorporates elements of dance, Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique, and Physiosythesis. She continues her education through study with the Master Teachers of Pilates and other experts in the fields of bio-mechanics, nutrition, and Eastern medicine. Her goal is to integrate a holistic approach to wellness into her practice as teacher, coach, and human being.
